Plot

Well well well. What a suprise. NOT

- Tony B. was whacked, we all saw that coming. We knew Tony S. would be the one to do it, but the episode at least gave it a reason - it wasn't because he wanted to, but because he didn't want Tony B. to be tortured. Well, another example of what "The Sopranos" has become since last season: Introduce a character, whack a character just for the sake of the whack. Blah.

- Johnny Sac was pinched: It pissed me off! Why? Just when things are looking GREAT between NJ / NY, the feds get called in.

Now for what I loved about the episode:

- Glad that we discovered that another inside guy was flipped by the feds and we had NO IDEA about it until last night. THANK YOU For finally not dragging us through Adrianna type bore sessions with the FBI. Got kinda tiring, but this was a surprise that I had NOT expected. Good one.

- AJ - they really teased all of us on this one, I think, depending on how you look at it. They kept throwing him in the mix for some reason .. As if something was going to happen to him. Me and two friends were praying for a bullet to come through the window of his room and kill him, or at least the bear climbing up the side of the house and eating him alive or something, because he's such an annoying prick - but that's good, threw us off a bit. I like plot twists that take me for a ride and then throw a curve that I can't hit.

- They mentioned FEETCH's name again! YAY! So now I only have to wait 2 years to see this guy in Season 6? UGH .. as predicted in previous posts, you know that Feetch is going to come back strong and go after Tony S. directly and may attempt to kill him. That's good; But we already know this is going to happen. I put this tease in the 50/50 category: Feetch could have developed a bit more throughout the season before sending him to jail. I really liked that character.

- They made it quite clear that Uncle Junior is senile to the bone. He has NO IDEA what he's saying and can't remember what happened to him 5 minutes ago. But - we already knew this. So why remind us? In a way I'm glad they made it 100% positive that Junior is brain dead and is a helpless old man at this point. Sorta like that guy from Season 2 ... in Italy. Remember, the so-called Boss whose family was run by his Daughter, whose husband was really the boss but in jail? Hmmmmmmm ... Sounds like a precursor of things that may come. Meadow ... acting boss ... Tony, in jail but running things ... Junior, the old man who is held up as the sacrificial lamb calling the shots. etc. Probably not, it's a stretch, but I'm glad I'm thinking this stuff instead of waiting for the season to end.

That's my analysis. Season 5 in the end was a huge disappointment, with the exception of two episodes - Last night's, and episode 9 where so many different things happened at once. The bear is up in the air and we have no idea what that meant; Vito is a blowjob professional - so what? Tony B. came, Tony B. went - so what? Carmine is out, Johnny Sac is in - that's a good thing, but we all saw that coming.

Honestly, I'm salivating over Season 6, hoping that David Chase writes all of the episodes. We need the same feel as Season 1 - 3 brought back to us, to make up for the poor camera work and shoddy stories of 4 and 5. David Chase, if you're reading this - WRITE THE STORIES. You're a natural. Do something drastic. And let Imperioli write some stories too. After all, Christopher is a pretty good screenwriter.
